Read a card aloud and write your answer privately. You can always pass or choose another question.
- 02
Let them guess.
Everyone else makes one guess. Keep your answer hidden until they’ve all had a go.
- 03
Tell your story.
Reveal your answer. Each matching guess earns the card’s points. Share the story behind it, then play on.
Setting up your game
Bring the deck, paper and pens. In family play, the questions can stay about the person away from work. In a group, take turns being the person everyone guesses about.
Agree on a number of questions, such as five cards. If you rotate the answering role, agree on full rounds so everyone gets a turn.
Matching answers and keeping score
The person answering decides which guesses match. Different words can mean the same thing. Each matching guess earns the full value printed on the card, even if several people get it right.
The person answering earns no points on their own turn. Other guesses earn zero; nothing is deducted. At your agreed finish, the highest guesser’s total wins. Tied players share the win. With one guesser, see how many answers they match.
See an example round
Alex’s card asks, “What’s something I’m excited to do when I go back?” Alex writes an answer. Jordan guesses “Lunch breaks with the team.” Casey guesses “Running the next project.”
“Having lunch with the team.”
Alex decides Jordan’s guess matches. Jordan earns 1 point; Casey earns zero. Alex shares what they miss about those lunches, and the group chooses another card.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
A few thingsto know.
Keep the guide handy.Setup, scoring & an example roundOpen the play guide ↗Does my family need to know my workplace?
No. They’re guessing what you would say, rather than answering technical questions about your job. The stories behind your answers help them get to know that part of your life.
Can I use the cards on my own?
Yes. Use a question as a reflection or journal prompt. There is no score, winner or need to finish the deck.
Can we skip a question?
Yes. Pass, pick another card or stop whenever you want. Award no points for a skipped question and deduct nothing.
Does this assess readiness for work?
No. It is a game and conversation activity. Sharing is your choice, and points do not measure readiness to return to work. Formal return-to-work arrangements are handled separately.
Can we order a custom version?
Yes. Tell us about your setting. We’ll discuss branding and confirm the card selection and packaging for your order.
